Objective of the Association Since February 1951, when the Hotel and Restaurant Association (Western India) was incorporated as a Company limited by guarantee and not having share capital, the Association has served the interests of the hotel and restaurant industry. The Association over the last several years has taken effective steps to encourage, promote and protect the interest of member establishments. It has been rendering professional assistance from time to time to all its members on topics of vital importance. Territorial Jurisdiction The Association admits & assists members operating in the Western India Region viz. in the states of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Goa and the Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu. Scope of Service The Association renders assistance during promotion & operation of any hotel and/or members, information on various aspects such as applicability of laws, tax matters, labour, liaison with the tourist department, foreign exchange & import licensing, etc. The Association issues from time-to-time circulars clarifying matters concerning the hotel & restaurant industry & brings out a monthly bulletin. It holds periodical meetings on subjects of topical interest to the industry & convenes Regional & National Conventions to deliberate upon matters affecting the industry. It has introduced a 20% Regional Discount Card Scheme operated on reciprocal basis for functional Hotel & Restaurant members.

• Any Vendor/ Consultant/ Service Provider under an active Agreement/ Contract is restricted to compromise any data/ information in any format within their custody. Upon the expiration or termination of any Agreement/ Contract vendor shall promptly return all data/ information, in any format, held within their custody & any residual copies must be explicitly destroyed, with confirmation provided to HRAWI. Detection of any unauthorized use or abuse is imperative & the liability solely stands with the Vendor/ Consultant/ Service Provider & not HRAWI.
